Vivek Awasthi

Other than his leadership in public health, Vivek has led projects on nature conservation. In particular he has helped villages and districts in developing water Conservation and solid waste management plans, and has supported the forest department and local communities with rewilding and afforestation work. He believes in supporting local communities to manage local resources through clear delineation of roles and responsbilities. He is currently establishing nurseries of native plants in four sites with the support of the state government.
